Today has been a day of baking. I have been home alone while my husband worked and I got so much accomplished. After a trip to see my grandma in the nursing home, mom and I seperated and started baking. I made M&M cookes, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter candy cookies, peanut butter with recess pieces, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and rice krispy treats. The only thing left is peanut butter filled ritz crackers dipped in chocolate. I do believe I have a thing for peanut butter, don't ya think??!!
I love Christmas. Everything is so pretty. The stores are always decorated, houses are bright in the night, and everyone gives homemade candy. When people take the time to make their holiday treats, it means so much more than going to the store and buying candy. A person gives thought to what they bake and who for. Right now, my house smells like freshly baked cookies and all without a candy burning. Normally I burn some kind of dessert flavored candle to make my house smell good. Not today!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Merry Christmas!! May God Bless everyone.

Winter is Here!!!
Fall went by so fast. Though it is a wonderful time of year, nothing is better than Winter. Winter means warm sweaters, cute jackets, and new fleece pjs. I have to say, my all time favorite day is when I am snuggled on the couch watching Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate with all my Christmas lights beaming.
The month of December had been insane. Greg and I finally finished another semester, work as slowed down for both of us, and we have been getting ready for Christmas. I always start shopping early for Christmas and this year had just flown by that I was a little behind. I finished on black Friday so I was a happy camper. Just have to get final stocking stuffers and all done for another year. Tomorrow starts our lovely Christmas gatherings. It is actually a girls only day. My mom, sister, and I are heading to Fort Smith for lunch, exchange our girl gifts, and then doing a little shopping. I am excited but I hope we don't run into mean people. Around the holidays people seem to have a mean streak when shopping. Not very much fun! Hopefully I will have some pictures of our Christmases in my next post. Have a Merry Christmas!!!
